I hope they announce the winners soon! I entered a story, so I hope that wins also. WHile I'm on this subject, I might as well do a shameless self plug and link to my FimFiction account, Key Lime Pie.
I think it was like, it takes a lot of work to translate a game, because it's not just literal translations, you have to put the mannerisms in there, too. Like Gummy's 'pal', or something like that, making sure references to the previous game tie in with the English version, not the Japanese one.
And the amount of sales they were making wasn't making enough profit to the costs of the translation team.
